When humans find their lives are created as the products of a creator, would we choose self-pursuit or self-paralysis?

 

'Suppose I gave you a red pill and a blue pill. Take the red pill, and you will know the truth, and the truth is often p ainful, very helpless, even unable to change. Take the blue pill and you will return to your old life and enjoy the simp le pleasures of ordinary life. You will forget that someone has given you red and blue pills, forget the choices you hav e now, as if you had a strange dream... '

 

Some people choose red pills, while others choose blue ones; Some people choose red pills, while others choose blue ones; Some will choose the red pill at some point some moment, and the blue pill at other times. However, no matter which pill we choose, we are making a choice. And und ertaking the consequences of our choice: self-seeking or self-paralysis.

 

Self-pursuit: Find the real world and be yourself.

Self-paralysis: Stay still in the fantasy; this paralysis is your reality.

What kind of choice would you make? What kind of choice would you make?

 

Good and evil both stem from free will. Pure freedom could mean that no one could completely control oneself, predict o neself, plan oneself. In other words, everyone can be evil and do good at any time.

 

Perhaps when we say we are free, we will feel 'unfree' immediately; Perhaps when we say we are free, we will feel 'unfree' immediately; when we say we are not free, we may feel free immediately. Is this a fact, or is this just an interpretation? When we say we are not free, we may feel free immediately. Is this a fact, or is this just an interpretation?

 

For me,Self-pursuit means to chase freedom. People think freedom is following a feeling.People who want to break routine. For me, self-pursuit means to chase freedom. People think freedom is following a feeling.People who want to break routine because they feel that to break the rules at will is "freedom",but also this could be slavery to desire.

 

Other people think freedom is to have their own rules and to overcome wayward desires, which means self-discipline to overcome caprice is freedom,but also it could be the slavery to rules.

 

Both of the choices could be freedom or not. People freely choose to believe that they are not free, and then they could become a voluntary slave. Overall, there is no difference between free and unfree inherent in any given action, therefo re, it can be said that there is no qualitative difference between self-pursuit and self-paralysis either

 

For us, perhaps the purpose of the creator's Free Will is not pleasure and happiness at all, people would rather suffer in truth than live in a false utopia, between the truth and the reality. But how do we truly know that either are real ?

 

Actually, it could be real, or it could be fantasy: reality and dreamland, in this sense, hold the same meaning for us.

 

 

 

设想自由意志真的存在，且当人类不再作为上帝时，我们是会选择自我追求还是自我麻痹？

 

“假如给你一颗红色药丸，一颗蓝色药丸。吃下红色药丸，你会知道真相，而真相往往很痛苦、很无奈，甚至无法改变。吃下蓝色药丸，你会回归以前的生活，享受普通生活的简单快乐。你会忘记现在有人给过你红蓝两个药丸，忘记现在的选择，当成做了一个奇怪的梦....”

 

有些人会选择红色药丸，而有些人则选择蓝色药丸。甚至，某人会在某时某刻选择红色药丸，而在另一些时候选择蓝色药丸。不过，不管选择哪个药丸，我们都在选择，也都承担自己选择的后果罢了：追求自我 or 自我麻痹。

 

自我追求是找到真实的世界，做你自己。

自我麻痹是停留在幻想中;这种麻痹就是你的现实。

如果今天给你这个机会，是你，你会怎么做？

 

善恶皆源于自由意志。自由意志意味着谁也无法彻底地操控自己，预测自己，规划自己。也就是说，每一个人都随时都可能会作恶和行善。

 

也许当我们说我们是自由的时候，我们会立刻感到“不自由”;当我们说我们不是自由的时候，我们可能马上会感到自由。这是事实，或者说只是个借口？

 

自我追求就是追求自由。人们认为自由就是跟着感觉走。那些想要打破常规的人，是因为他们觉得随意打破规则就是“自由”，但与此同时，他们也可能成为了欲望的奴隶。

 

另一些人认为自由是拥有属于自己的规则，克服任性的欲望，这意味着通过自律来克服任性是一种自由，但它也可能成为自己规则的奴隶。

 

这两种选择可能是自由的，也可能不是。人们自由地选择相信他们不是自由的，然后他们就会自愿地成为奴隶。总的来说，自由和不自由是没有区别的。因此，自我追求和自我麻痹，在实质性上也并没有区别。

 

对人类而言，也许造物主自由意志的目的根本不是享乐和幸福，人们宁愿在真理中受苦，也不愿在乌托邦中受苦，即在真理和现实之间受苦。但我们怎么知道它是真的呢?

 

事实上，它可能是真实的，也可能是幻想的 : 现实和梦境对我们来说有着相同的意义。
