The film is set in a future era of space exploration, where a young astronaut is dispatched to execute a mission to an extraterrestrial planet. The gravity of the planet she landed on is extremely weak, and various mysterious phenomena occur incessantly, such as space-time distortion, visual illusions, etc. Her earthly experiences completely fail her here. Amidst her curiosity and unease, she feels as if she has become an experimental subject for some octopus-like creature. She tries to escape or awaken, but an old man always seems to shadow her.

As psychologist Jacques Lacan once pointed out, the construction of the so-called subject is a product of constant alienation. Is this extraterrestrial planet really a monstrous world beyond the 'big other'? How will it reshape the protagonist's subject? Can humanity still escape unscathed from the nightmare of the monster?
